End of the week
After a long week there is only one thing to do. Pack up the truck, hook up the boat, and have our friends do the same. We took the kids, dogs, and the boats to the lake . After a rough start like my husband unloading the boat in the lake without the plugs, then having the strap break when pulling it out. Soooooo eventually we got the boat out of the water, put the plugs in, emptied the water out and then we were on our way! Well almost. I had to sit on the front of the boat while my husbands dog Josey got to sit in the seat. Why might you ask, well I'll tell you why, because she extremely fat and I actually fear she will tip the boat. Ryan ( my husband) is very defensive of his Josey girl so naturally we try mock her as much as possible. Are we evil maybe, but you have not seen Josey. After a long float with our awesome friends its time to get back home to get ready for another long week.

Evil Rabbit
I am getting ready for an art show in New Mexico. This consists of me sewing, drinking coffee, while watching bad tv and the daily phone call from my sister singing the final count down. During this time I check on the chickens from my kitchen window. In the fall I let the girls run around uninhibited in the garden. This doesn't seem to bother anyone but our rabbit squidge. Any time one of the chickens comes near his cage, he runs right up to them and tries to bite them through the fence. I really do think that squidge plans to anilate the chickens. I had my suspicions about this rabbit as soon as my husband brought him home after paying 10 dollars for him at a gas station, yes its true. I believe that he is a feral rabbit crossed with a badger who plans on destroying all of us, starting with the stupid chickens! O well back to work.

One girls mission to be a crafty, athletic, urban farmer
Hi my name is Grace Powell. I am a wife to a hot dirt person (aka archaeologist) yes they do exist and a mother to a wildly awesome six year old boy. We just recently moved to Montana. I have two dogs, one crazy ass rabbit and of course three stupid chickens. I have my own shop on etsy called Sean's Monsters and also take my art to different craft shows around the area. This blog is about my life as a wife, mother, urban farmer, runner, aspiring artist, vegan and trying to survive in Montana.
